Tim Minear is well known among television genre fans for his work on such shows as Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, The X-Files and Strange World.

A frequent partner with Joss Whedon, Minear spent four seasons as writer/director/executive producer on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel before executive-producing/writing/directing another Whedon series, cult favorites Firefly and Dollhouse.

Minear’s association with 20th Century Fox Television includes executive-producing the quirky comedy/drama Wonderfalls; creating the noir procedural The Inside and the cross-country mystery/adventure Drive.

Minear returns to American Horror Story: Asylum as executive producer. His previous association with FX was as consulting producer on the first season of American Horror Story, and as executive producer/show runner on FX's much loved but little viewed Terriers.
