Over her impressive 18 year career, Diana Maria Riva has established herself as a dominant force in television, film, and theater.
Riva’s multiple television credits include roles on Rob!, The Good Guys, Common Law, Philly, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, City of Angels, NYPD Blue and the critically-acclaimed FX drama The Bridge. She received accolades for her performance in the original Lifetime drama series Side Order of Life, where she starred opposite Marisa Coughlan and Jason Priestley. Some of her additional television credits include Everybody Loves Raymond, The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Less Than Perfect, The Drew Carey Show, The X-Files and Family Law.
In film, Riva most recently starred in McFarland, with Kevin Costner and Maria Bello. In 2013, she wrapped Love and Mercy with Elizabeth Banks and John Cusack and also had a supporting role in the critically-acclaimed drama Short Term 12. In 2010, she played America Ferrera’s mother in Fox Searchlight’s Family Wedding also starring Carlos Mencia and Forest Whitaker. Other notable film credits include 17 Again, What Women Want, Employee of the Month, Chasing Papi and The Third Wheel.
Riva’s numerous theater credits include her one-woman show Besame Mucho….Ok That’s Enough, a semi-autobiographical work about the lives of a diverse group of Latin women living in America and dealing with marriage and divorce in the Latin culture.
She and her family currently reside in Los Angeles.
