Rockmond Dunbar has mesmerized viewers on the big screen as well as on the small. His first role was as a series regular on Steven Spielberg's Earth 2. His work on the show earned him recognition and he has since worked steadily over the years in feature films, television series and other media related projects. To his credit, he has been seen in guest star and recurring roles on such shows as Felicity, The Pretender, Good News, Two Guys and a Girl, G. vs. E, North Shore, Girlfriends, Shark, CSI:Miami, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, The Closer, Chicago Code, Head Cases, and The Defenders to name a few. Named as one of "Television's 50 Sexiest Stars of All Time" by TV Guide for his groundbreaking role as 'Kenny Chadway' in Soul Food, the longest running African-American drama, Rockmond has become go-to talent.


His powerful and compelling performances resulted in Rockmond being tapped for lead or recurring roles in TNT's Heartland, FOX's Prison Break, and FX's Terriers and now Sons of Anarchy. In addition to the man behind the badge these past two seasons of Sons of Anarchy, Rockmond's leading man presence has been showcased on BET's The Game.


This talented, theatrically trained actor has created unforgettable characters in various films and TV movies including Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Robert Downey, Raising Izzie and the Tyler Perry film The Family That Preys alongside award-winning actors Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard. Not content to remain in front of the camera, Rockmond now also boasts writing, producing and directing titles to his credit. He starred and produced the independent feature film Dirty Laundry, with Loretta Devine, and then directed and produced a short film for Showtime entitled The Great Commission. He has since directed his first full-length feature film, Pastor Brown due for fall 2012 release and is writing a TV series based on the film. To capitalize upon his growing recognition as a filmmaker, Rockmond is currently developing reality and scripted series as well several other narrative projects including a Latino version of the classic A Christmas Carol slated for a 2013 holiday release.


Rockmond continues to garner favorable notices as a quality actor from producers, directors and audiences from around the globe. A diplomat for the country of Gambia, he utilizes his star power to educate and enlighten. This true Renaissance man has hypnotized his audience not only theatrically, but in all realms of art.
