David Labrava is enjoying his 5th season on Sons of Anarchy, playing the role of "Happy" the club assassin. He was hired at the show's inception to be the technical advisor, and after meeting Kurt, was cast on the show, serving in both roles ever since.


David co-wrote episode 10 in season 4 with Chris Collins and Kurt Sutter, entitled Hands, which Time magazine named Best of the Season.


David started his career as a camera man for the Zalman King Company (9 1/2 Weeks, In God's Hands, The Red Shoe Diaries). It was at this time David learned script writing, and co-wrote on and starred in the Whiplash ZK series. David created, wrote, and sold a show entitled Shotcaller. David has been published in various publications since 1990, and has a column in the national Hot Rod Magazine, Ol Skool Rodz. David writes on the SOA website under the pseudonym "Fat Bob's Blog".
David is a multi-faceted artist, creating art in various mediums. He has been a tattoo artist for over twenty years, is a glass artist that teaches students, is a five diploma Harley Davidson mechanic, and has gotten cars and bikes he has built shown in national magazines.


David has recently started a clothing line that benefits animal rescue, and he is involved with various charities. David owns a film company called Artful Dodger Filmworks, and is currently shooting a short film.


David has found a home at FX. He has a great appreciation for film and scriptwriting, and works at it every day. He sees the blank page finished and edited with the music. David writes, acts, produces, edits and directs.
