Most recently, he starred in Rain Dogs (HBO), Back to Life (BBC) and A Spy Among Friends (ITV/Sony Pictures Television) alongside Damian Lewis, Guy Pearce and Anna Maxwell Martin.Previously, Edmondson reprised his role of “Gideon Charles” in Save Me Too (Sky) as well as appearing as “Daniel Cook” in EastEnders (BBC) from 2019 to 2020. Further TV credits include Summer of Rockets (BBC), seasons one and two of Bancroft (ITV), Cheat (ITV), Upstart Crow (BBC), One of Us (BBC) and War &amp; Peace (BBC).His film credits include the Rian Johnson-directed Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Pope Must Die from director Peter Richardson and Guest House Paradiso, which Edmondson wrote and directed.On the stage, he starred as “Malvolio” in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Twelfth Night directed by Christopher Luscombe, as “Scrooge” in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s A Christmas Carol from director Rachel Kavanagh and as “Grandma” in the Almeida Theatre’s Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia from director Eleanor Rhode.Edmondson has been a member of several bands, notably Bad News, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and The Bad Shepherds.Edmondson is also a writer, from Bottom and The Comic Strip for television, to the novel The Gobbler, to plays for stage and radio and children’s books. He released his autobiography, Berserker!, in 2023.
