The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story

Nathan Lane was seen last season in New York in two plays; on Broadway in the smash hit revival of It’s Only a Play and at BAM in the critically acclaimed revival of The Iceman Cometh as “Hickey.” Prior to that, he starred on Broadway in the Lincoln Center production of The Nance, for which he received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations, and won the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama League Distinguished Performance Award. Since making his debut in Present Laughter with George C. Scott in 1982, Lane has been a fixture on Broadway (not to mention off-Broadway) and has appeared in 20 Broadway shows, from Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Producers, to Waiting for Godot, Butley, and Love! Valour! Compassion! He has received two Tonys, five Drama Desk Awards, five Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Obies and the Olivier in London. In 2006, he was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame.
 
On television, he has had recurring roles on The Good Wife and Modern Family, and made many guest appearances. He has received six Primetime Emmy® nominations, won two Daytime Emmy Awards and the People's Choice Award.

Lane has starred in over 35 films including The Birdcage (Golden Globe® nomination, Screen Actors Guild and American Comedy Awards), Ironweed, Frankie and Johnny, Mousehunt, Jeffrey, The Lion King, Stuart Little, Nicholas Nickleby (National Board of Review Ensemble Acting Award), The Producers (Golden Globe nomination), Swing Vote, Mirror, Mirror, and The English Teacher.
