Emily Rios plays “Lucia Villanueva,” the self-possessed daughter of a Mexican crime lord that imports and sells marijuana throughout Los Angeles. Ambitious and driven, Lucia sees the potential of the burgeoning cocaine business in Los Angeles, manipulating her family into more dangerous and profitable territory.
Rios starred in FX Networks' crime thriller The Bridge. Her performance led to a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Imagen Awards and she received the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Award (Outstanding Performance in a Television Series) and the NHFA Horizon Award.
This summer, Rios can be seen in Paint it Black, set against the Los Angeles rock scene. Rios' feature film credits include Love Ranch, The Winning Season, Pete Smalls is Dead, The Blue Hour; Vicious Circle and Down For Life.
Rios made her acting debut in the critically-acclaimed film Quinceañera. Rios' performance earned her Best Actress nominations for the Alma and Imagen Awards. She has built a resume comprised of memorable characters, culminating in her inclusion in The Hollywood Reporter's Young Hispanic Hollywood Class of 2013.
Rios is perhaps best known for her portrayal of "Andrea Cantillo" on Breaking Bad. Audiences will also remember her role as Benjamin Bratt’s daughter on Private Practice and opposite Ray Romano on Men of a Certain Age. Recent credits include True Detective, Scandal and Criminal Minds. Other notable television credits include Friday Night Lights, Grimm, Almost Human and From Dusk Till Dawn.
