The Americans

Actress Annet Mahendru plays Nina, formerly a low level KGB officer stationed at the Soviet Embassy in Washington, D.C. She was both Stan Beeman's lover and his informant on the inner workings of the KGB Rezidentura. But in a crisis of conscience, Nina revealed her treachery to the KGB and started using her relationship with Stan to help the Soviets stay one step ahead of the FBI. Convinced that Stan was in love with her, the KGB forced him to choose between Nina's life and his loyalty to the United States. When Stan chose his country over his heart, Nina was sent back to the Soviet Union, where she has been forced to use her gifts of persuasion to suit her captors' needs. Nina is skilled at rooting out secrets, but her conscience gnaws at her.
