The chief of the Washington, D.C. Rezidentura, Arkady, played by Lev Gorn, oversees all KGB operations in the nation's capital - including those of Directorate S, a small cadre of highly trained officers posing as United States citizens. He was responsible for the failed operation to use Nina as a bargaining chip in the gambit to turn Agent Beeman. Its failure - and Nina's return to Moscow - has put further pressure on his team.
Gorn has had recurring roles on CBS's Madam Secretary, NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans and on HBO's hit series The Wire. His guest starring roles include HBO's comedy Bored To Death, Brotherhood, Law & Order, Third Watch, Trenches, as well as Street Fighter: The Later Years.
In feature films, Gorn will be seen in Woody Allen's upcoming Untitled Summer Project, as well as Kid Witness, in which he stars opposite Susan Sarandon. He co-starred with Paul Sorvino and Michael Rapaport in the feature Once Upon a Time in Queens, as well as in Pawn Sacrifice opposite Liev Shreiber and Tobey Maguire. Additional notable film work includes The Good Shepherd, Keane, Sangre de mi sangre (Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner 2007), Knife Point, Bronx Paradise and Blue Collar Boys.
Gorn is also a New York-based portrait photographer and fine artist.
