Executive Producer

Nate Matteson formed Super Frog Films in 2019 alongside longtime friend and collaborator Hiro Murai (Atlanta, “This Is America”). His credits as executive producer include the celebrated HBO Max limited series Station Eleven, created by Patrick Somerville (Maniac, The Leftovers), directed by Murai and starring Mackenzie Davis, Gael Garcia Bernal and Himesh Patel; the FX series The Bear created by Christopher Storer (Ramy) and starring Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Ayo Edebiri; as well as The Choe Show.
He has worked in the film and television industry for 15 years, first in TV production, assisting Emmy®-winning director David Nutter (Game of Thrones), followed by over a decade as a manager representing acclaimed filmmakers such as Kim Jee-Woon (Tale of Two Sisters), David Gelb (Chef’s Table), David Bruckner (The Night House), as well as Murai and creator/showrunners Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Yellowjackets). He also represented actors Zazie Beetz, Cleopatra Coleman and Lamorne Morris.
Matteson was named one of the “Hollywood New Leaders” by Variety in 2018. With Super Frog, Matteson and Murai have a first-look deal with FX and a development finance deal with Makeready (Queen & Slim). They have various projects in development in all mediums including features at Searchlight Pictures and Netflix and a series at Amazon. Matteson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
