Paul Mullin

WAFC Player

Striker Paul Mullin was an eye-catching new signing for Wrexham in the summer of 2021, having finished the previous season as EFL League Two “Player of the Season” and top goalscorer. Having helped earn Cambridge United promotion to EFL League One, however, Mullin declined the option to stay in Cambridgeshire and shunned interest from higher-ranked teams to move to Wrexham.

The striker, 27, is from Litherland on Merseyside and has previously played for Morecambe, Swindon Town and Tranmere Rovers before his successful switch to Cambridge.

At Cambridge United, Mullin scored 32 goals in 46 games for the U’s. After moving to Wrexham, he instantly became a cult hero among the supporters after scoring some key goals early in the campaign. Mullin reached the 30-goal milestone, becoming the first player in nearly 20 years to do so in a single season for Wrexham and scooped the club’s “Player of the Season,” “Goal of the Season” and “Top Goalscorer” awards at the end of his first campaign.
