Paul Simms has written for The Larry Sanders Show, Flight of the Conchords, Girls and NewsRadio, which he created. He began his career at SPY Magazine and is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker. Simms also serves as an executive producer on FX’s critically acclaimed Golden Globe®-winning series Atlanta.

"Nandor the Relentless," played by Kayvan Novak, is a fierce Ottoman warrior once known for pillaging villages and turning the Euphrates red with blood. But after an “Eat, Prey, Love” journey to his ancestral home in Al Quolanudar, he knows it’s love he wants, not war. With help from Guillermo and a Djinn, he goes looking for his bride.

"Laszlo Cravensworth," played by Matt Berry, has his life turned upside down when he becomes Baby Colin’s self-appointed caretaker. Nevertheless, his purpose is clear: he must raise an interesting child. But what can one man do in such an uphill fight against nature? Sometimes the only course of action with a childlike Baby Colin is to exploit his gifts before the kid grows out of them.

After a frustrating stint at the International Vampiric Council, "Nadja," played by Natasia Demetriou, returns from London with a new mission: to run her own business. She has a thirst not just for blood, but for power, money and vampire-oriented entertainment. But can she succeed where so many others have failed, or will she find truth in the old adage about the food and beverage business: that the best way to make a small fortune is to start with a big one?

Returning from London, "Guillermo," played by Harvey Guillén, finds there’s a baby Colin Robinson toddling around their dilapidated house, and he’s the only one who seems worried. But Guillermo also seems to have picked up a little swagger during his time away. Between his adventures in London and his work as Nadja’s new accountant, Guillermo now guards a secret or two of his own.

After his 100th birthday/deathday, "Colin Robinson," played by Mark Proksch, is back as a Dilbert-looking newborn. But this is no ordinary baby. He grows rapidly, has great physical gifts and absorbs a number of surprising skills. But the question remains: has the Colin Robinson caterpillar truly turned into a butterfly, or is the fact of his boring background just too much to overcome?

Acerbic, imperious and floating, "the Guide," portrayed by Kristen Schaal, has assisted every Vampiric Council since 1759. But now Nadja wants to remodel the very institution to which the Guide has devoted her life. With her many wraith helpers, the Guide puts up a strong resistance before realizing that the most important person in the club is always the doorman.
