Tanase Popa is a Peabody Award, Television Academy Honors Award and American Film Institute Award recipient, as well as an 11-time Emmy-nominated and five-time Golden Globe-nominated television producer at Ryan Murphy Productions.He has produced The Shards, Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. &amp; Carolyn Bessette, The Beauty, American Horror Story, 9-1-1: Nashville, All’s Fair, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, Doctor Odyssey, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Grotesquerie, American Horror Stories, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans, The Watcher, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Impeachment: American Crime Story, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Halston, The Prom, The Boys in the Band, Pose and Hollywood. He is a co-founder of Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative and served as the program director in its inaugural years by developing the initiative’s Directing Mentorship Program, Guild Trainee Program, Production Assistant Intensive Program as well as the Internship Program. Popa has also worked at Pixar Animation Studios on the Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning animation film Coco. He has served as a company manager to Broadway shows and national tours of Wicked, Next to Normal, Sweeney Todd, Company and Gypsy.
