English Teacher

Jake Bender &amp; Zach Dunn are an Emmy®-nominated comedy writing duo. In addition to their work on English Teacher, which earned them two Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award nominations during Season 1, Bender and Dunn have written on five seasons of FX's What We Do in the Shadows, beginning in Season 2. Their episode, "Pride Parade," from Season 5 earned them Emmy and WGA Award nominations and was featured as one of IndieWire's "Best TV Episodes of 2023." During their time on the show, the series received three WGA Award nominations for Comedy Series, six Emmy nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series. Bender and Dunn also served as writing producers on Season 1 of Prime Video's Emmy-nominated series Fallout. In the feature space, they are currently in development on a project for Rough House Pictures with Adam Devine and Kyle Newacheck attached.
