An acclaimed, BAFTA Award-winning actor with the versatility to play leading roles as well as well-developed supporting characters, Tom Hollander can recently be seen in the second season of The White Lotus, created by Mike White, and the BBC One drama Baptiste. Before that, he voiced the role of “Tabaqui” in Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle and appeared as a central villain in the acclaimed Netflix film Birdbox. Hollander can also be seen in the 20th Century Studios feature film Bohemian Rhapsody, in which he portrayed Jim Beach.
On stage, he recently appeared as “Henry Carr” in a revival of Tom Stoppard’s play Travesties at the Apollo Theatre in London, directed by Patrick Weber, which then transferred to the West End. The play was on Broadway at the Roundabout Theatre from February to June 2018.
Hollander also starred in the feature film Breathe alongside Andrew Garfield and directed by Andy Serkis. He won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Night Manager. In 2020, Hollander filmed the lead opposite Sarah Lancashire in Julia, Max’s drama pilot about the famous chef, trailblazing cookbook author and TV personality Julia Child, from Chris Keyser and Lionsgate Television.
Hollander can also be seen starring alongside Peaky Blinders star Joe Cole in ITV’s new adaptation of the classic Len Deighton spy novel, The Ipcress File, a planned six-part series written by Trainspotting scriptwriter John Hodge and will be directed by Emmy® Award-winner James Watkins (McMafia, Black Mirror, The Woman in Black).
Hollander returned to the stage in summer 2023, starring in the play Patriots from writer Peter Morgan.
