"Olivia," portrayed by Sheria Irving, is a free Black woman in the 19th century. She is a healer, fearless and sharp-minded with an air of confidence, purpose, defiance and mystery. She lives near the Weylin farm and is well known to all who live and serve there. Willing to take drastic measures to get what she wants and is key to Dana’s safety and survival in the past.

Career Highlights

Sheria Irving is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama. She made her Broadway debut alongside Orlando Bloom in Romeo & Juliet, under the direction of five-time Tony nominee David Leveaux. Recent credits include starring in Pulitzer Prize winner, Suzan Lori-Parks’ White Noise at the Public Theater, opposite Daveed Diggs.  She also starred in the premiere performance of Billy Porter’s While I Yet Live for Primary Stages, opposite S. Epatha Merkerson and Lillias White. Sheria was also seen opposite Laila Robins and Micah Stock in The Model American at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. TV credits include Madam Secretary and The Good Wife. Sheria can also be seen in Twenties and, most recently, she appeared in the Amazon Series, THEM. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Shaping Her Earth (SHE), a nonprofit organization that mentors, uplifts and empowers young women of color.
