Jake DeVito is a Los Angeles-based producer who serves as a Co-President of Jersey Films 2nd Avenue. His work has been selected for numerous festivals including Sundance, Berlinale, Tribeca and BFI London. DeVito served as a producer on The Better Angels, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released theatrically in more than 50 U.S. cities as well as internationally. Starring Diane Kruger, Jason Clarke, Brit Marling and Wes Bentley, it was produced by Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Terrence Malick.
In 2016 DeVito produced the short film Curmudgeons, which was directed by Danny DeVito and starred Danny DeVito and David Margulies. The short was exhibited in over 50 festivals, was the recipient of the Audience Award at the Frameline San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival and was nominated for "Best Short" at the Tribeca Film Festival. As Co-President of Jersey, DeVito has leveraged the company’s first-look development deal with FX Networks to expand Jersey’s development slate and is an executive producer on Little Demon, an adult animated series starring Danny DeVito, Aubrey Plaza and Lucy DeVito, and on which Dan Harmon (Community; Rick and Morty) also serves as an executive producer. DeVito and Jersey are currently in development on numerous other series and feature projects including an upcoming science fiction dramatic series for Showtime.
