Career Highlights

Alessandro Nivola has established himself as one of the most versatile actors of his generation, with an array of emotionally searing and complex roles defining his body of work. He can be seen starring opposite Adrien Brody in Brady Corbet's Oscar®-nominated feature The Brutalist. He also stars opposite Russell Crowe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ariana Debose in J.C. Chandor's Marvel feature Kraven the Hunter. Also, he co-stars with André Holland in the Apple TV limited series The Big Cigar, directed by Don Cheadle.Nivola most recently starred opposite Keira Knightley in Matt Ruskin's feature Boston Strangler, and he played the lead role of "Dickie Moltisanti" in the Warner Bros. Pictures' Sopranos prequel feature, The Many Saints of Newark. He was also part of an all-star ensemble cast that included Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and Robert De Niro in David O. Russell's film Amsterdam. Other notable credits include the BBC/FX series Black Narcissus, Sebastián Lelio's Disobedience (for which he won the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor), The Art of Self-Defense opposite Jesse Eisenberg and HBO Films' Wizard of Lies with Robert De Niro.
