Career Highlights
Previously a horse-wrangler in Wyoming, John has seamlessly transitioned from performing in the rodeo arena to a career in television and the big screen. In 1999, he made his television debut on Comedy Central’s cult hit Strangers With Candy. John then landed the memorable role of “Meadow’s” high school boyfriend on HBO’s award-winning series The Sopranos. He also played the lead opposite Gabriel Byrne in ABC’s highly acclaimed but short- lived series Madigan Men under the direction of Emmy® award-winner Jim Burrows, as well as the role of “Gabriel Bowman” in TNT’s series Witchblade. Most recently, John appeared on CBS’s award-winning series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
For the big screen, John has wrapped production on Shutter, a horror film written by Luke Dawson and directed by Masayuki Ochiai, as well as The Crate, a comedy by Sam Burbank. Both films are scheduled for release in 2008. Previously, John appeared in an independent feature film that debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, 50 Pills, written by Matthew Perniciaro and directed by Theo Avgerinos. Additional film credits include the independent features Teeth and Peoples.
After graduating high school in Kentucky, John spent three years in Wyoming before deciding to pursue his passion for acting in Los Angeles. He then attended Fort Lewis College in Colorado where he studied humanities and immersed himself in the theater community. Together with friends he formed an improv group, which became so successful that it was invited to perform with Chicago’s famed Second City Theatre Troupe. Despite his strong ties to his southern roots, John now resides in Los Angeles.
