Gail Lyon is a producer and media executive with over 25 years of experience in both film and television.She has an overall television deal with wiip. In addition to working on FX’s Pistol, Lyon also serves as an executive producer on the wiip-produced Showtime drama Coercion, which is inspired by the life of Rebecca Bender, a national leader on and survivor of sex trafficking. Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich, Unbelievable) wrote and directed the pilot, with production on the series slated for late 2022.Her varied producing credit include Erin Brockovich, Gattaca, Stuart Little 2, Edge of Darkness, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Stick It, Peter Pan and Destination Wedding.Lyon currently has an active film and television development slate that includes projects with Richard LaGravenese, Julien Temple, Victor Levin, Maria Bakalova, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and Reginald Hudlin.Previously, Lyon was at the helm of a trio of highly successful production companies: GK Films, Red Wagon Entertainment and Jersey Films. At GK Films, she shepherded all development as well as the productions of Jean-Marc Vallée’s The Young Victoria, written by Julian Fellowes, and The Town, directed by and starring Ben Affleck. At Red Wagon Entertainment, she developed and supervised Jarhead and RV, as well as supervising the company’s entire development slate, including Rob Marshall’s Memoirs of a Geisha. At Jersey Films, she oversaw the development and production of a varied slate of award-winning pictures, including Steven Soderbergh’s Out of Sight and Miloš Forman’s Man on the Moon.Lyon’s previous stints include time at Walt Disney Studios as both director of development, Walt Disney Studios, and as a vice president at Hollywood Pictures. Her first job in the industry was as an NBC Page.She is also a founding partner of the social media site VFILES, which is a global community and incubator for fashion, media and music talent based out of 12 Mercer Street in New York City.Lyon studied at the Sorbonne and Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris and obtained a B.A. degree from Smith College.
