Joanna Calo is a writer and mother who lives in Los Angeles, CA. Her writing credits include the Golden Globe®-winning Hacks, The Baby-Sitters Club on Netflix, Amazon’s Undone and six seasons on the Emmy®-nominated BoJack Horseman.&nbsp;Calo is currently the co-showrunner and executive producer of FX’s The Bear. She has an overall deal with FX and is currently in development on a female-focused show about romance and feminism. Every project she embarks on has the same pretentious goal: to help humans feel somewhat better about existence.

Jeremy Allen White stars as “Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto.” The youngest child of the Berzatto family, Carmy’s rise to fame in the fine dining world was astronomical. He recently returned home to Chicago in the wake of his brother’s death and is faced with how hard it is to evolve in the place where you began. Wildly driven, Carmy throws himself into work in order to avoid reckoning with his grief and trauma. Fortunately, there’s an insane amount of work to do as he tries to keep his family’s sandwich shop afloat.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach stars as “Richard ‘Richie’ Jerimovich.” Abrasive yet undeniably charming, Richie was Michael’s best friend and barnacle to the Berzatto family. As manager of The Original Beef of Chicagoland, he clings to tradition.

Ayo Edebiri stars as “Sydney Adamu.” Hard-working, talented and personable, Sydney tries to bounce back from her failed catering business by taking a job working with Carmy at The Original Beef of Chicagoland.

Abby Elliott stars as “Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto.” The middle child of the Berzatto family and the long-time family fixer, Sugar is always bailing her brothers out. She’s thrilled that Carmy has returned to Chicago, but is dissatisfied with what he has to offer her.

Lionel Boyce stars as "Marcus." Resident affable baker at The Original Beef of Chicagoland, Marcus becomes inspired by Carmy and Sydney’s high stakes stories of genius innovation in the fine dining world.

Liza Colón-Zayas stars as "Tina." A long-time employee and family friend, Tina is deeply skeptical of both Carmy and Sydney, and initially resists change. But her dedication to The Original Beef of Chicagoland is unquestionable.
