Wes Bentley recently starred in five seasons as Jamie Dutton in the Paramount hit series “Yellowstone” from writer/director Taylor Sheridan, opposite Kevin Costner and Kelly Reilly. The series became the most-watched scripted series on television, averaging over 11 million viewers per episode.Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Bentley participated in a drama club and cultivated a specific interest in improvisational comedy while attending Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas. At his mother's urging, Bentley attended Juilliard School in New York after his high school graduation, though only for a short period of time.In 1999, Bentley gained immediate critical acclaim and recognition for his role in the Oscar-winning film&nbsp;“American Beauty,” in which he played Ricky Fitts, the soulful and artistic next-door neighbor to Jane Burnham (Thora Birch). Bentley received multiple nominations for the role and won an Actor Award alongside the cast, as well as the National Board of Review’s Breakthrough Performance Award. Over the past two decades, Bentley’s work in film has ranged from commercial blockbusters to critically acclaimed features, including “The Hunger Games,” “Interstellar,” Disney’s live-action remake of “Pete's Dragon,” “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” and “Knight of Cups” from director Terrence Malick.In 2014, Bentley made his television debut starring in multiple seasons of “American Horror Story” from Ryan Murphy. He earned a Critics Choice Award nomination in 2016 for his performance in the limited series.
