Career Highlights

Young Wrexham AFC Women defender Mia Roberts hails from a family with strong connections to the Football Club. She is the daughter of former Wrexham AFC captain and Wales international Neil Roberts, who played for the Club between 1994-2000 and again from 2006-2008. Her uncle, Stephen Roberts, also played for Wrexham and Wales, making 150 appearances for the Club between 1998-2005.Roberts followed in her family’s footsteps when she made her Wrexham AFC Women debut in 2021 – becoming the first player from the newly-formed Under-19s team to successfully step up and represent the first team. She made 12 senior appearances in her first season as well as helping the Under-19s to win the Genero Adran U19s North league.The student returned for a second season in 2022/23, making a further 17 appearances on the left side of the defence as the senior team looked to improve on their 2nd place finish in 2022.
