Mike Hertz would like to dedicate his bio this season to the tremendous cast and crew of FX’s DAVE. There's not much to say about Hertz, but for months on end the series’ team tirelessly works to produce one of the greatest television shows in the history of entertainment, and they should get all the recognition they deserve plus much more.

Dave, a.k.a. Lil Dicky, is a neurotic-yet-lovable rapper. Simultaneously exasperating and inspiring to his friends, he vows to leave no stone unturned on his quest to become the next superstar.

GaTa is Dave’s hype man, who moves fluidly — if misguidedly — through the rap world. GaTa is all about what he calls “the gander” and helps inspire Dave’s confidence.

Mike,&nbsp;portrayed by Andrew Santino, is Dave’s manager and college best friend. Somewhat abrasive and also a tad insecure, Mike is the voice of reason in Dave’s circle of friends.

Ally,&nbsp;portrayed by Taylor Misiak, is Dave's ex-girlfriend, a teacher who often languished in the shadow of his spotlight. They’ve finally left the drama behind and are true friends.

Elz,&nbsp;portrayed by Travis Bennett, is Dave’s childhood friend from Philadelphia who’s pursuing a dream to be a music producer. He’s a jokey truth-teller who has a hard time putting himself out there.

Emma,&nbsp;portrayed by Christine Ko, has been close to Dave since they were creative partners at the ad agency. An aspiring filmmaker, she’s making a documentary of Dave’s tour and is more than ready to catch up to her friends career-wise.&nbsp;
