"Wemmick," portrayed by Rudi Dharmalingam, is Jaggers’ assistant and an unexpected companion of Pip’s upon his move to London. A no nonsense man who has learned what it takes to survive in this cruel world, Wemmick takes Pip under his wing, and shows him kindness and guidance, but only when no one is looking.

Career Highlights

Rudi Dharmalingam is a film, television and stage actor known for roles in The Lazarus Project, Wakefield (AACTA Award nomination for Best Lead Actor) and The Split.

An experienced stage actor, Dharmalingam joined the National Youth Theatre at age 17 prior to earning a BA of Performing Arts from University of Salford in 2002. 

Dharmalingam’s impressive stage credits include The History Boys (National Theatre and Broadway), Mary Stuart and Oresteia (West End and Almeida), Hamlet (Barbican,) X (Royal Court), Hope (Royal Court), The Events (Young Vic) and 1984 (West End). 

He has appeared in numerous television programs including The Cleaner, Strike Back and Tin Star. His film credits include In The Shadow of The Moon and Roleplay.
