A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Trystan Gravelle began his acting career as a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Gravelle is best known for his role as “Pharazôn” in the sweeping epic series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
His most notable theatre credits include Light Shining in Buckinghamshire (National Theatre), 13 (National Theatre), The Norman Conquests (Chichester Festival Theatre) and Edgar & Annabel (National Theatre).
In film, Gravelle portrayed English playwright Christopher Marlowe, opposite Rhys Ifans and Vanessa Redgrave, in the 2011 film Anonymous. In 2017, he appeared in the film Beast, which premiered at TIFF and was later nominated for Best British Film at the British Academy Film Awards.
Gravelle has appeared in numerous television series including Quiz, Mr. Selfridge, Brittania, The Terror, The Aliens, National Treasure and A Discovery of Witches.
