Joe Weisberg grew up in Chicago. He worked in the CIA in the early 1990s. Later, he worked as a novelist and teacher.&nbsp;Weisberg created FX Network’s critically-acclaimed&nbsp;and Emmy-winning drama series&nbsp;The Americans, on which he served as Co-Showrunner. Weisberg's most recent project is&nbsp;the limited series The Patient starring Steve Carell, which he wrote and executive produced alongside his The Americans collaborator Joel Fields.
