Michael London

Executive Producer

Michael London is an Academy® Award and Emmy® Award-nominated producer and the founder of Groundswell Productions. His film credits include Trumbo, Sideways, Milk, The Family Stone, Thirteen, Win Win, The Visitor, The Illusionist, The Informant! and House of Sand and Fog. His television credits include Snowfall, entering its sixth season on FX, the Golden Globe® nominated SMILF on SHOWTIME, The Magicians for SYFY and the HBO film Confirmation starring Kerry Washington as Anita Hill.

London is in post-production on The Greatest Hits for Searchlight Pictures, which is a romantic comedy written and directed by Ned Benson and starring Lucy Boynton. He is also in post-production on an as-yet unnamed limited series for Fremantle starring Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson.  

London received the 2006 Golden Globe Award for Best Picture in the comedy category for Sideways, which also won best picture honors from the Independent Spirit Awards, The Gotham Independent Film Awards, the Critics’ Choice Awards, The National Society of Film Critics, the Los Angeles Film Critics and the New York Film Critics Circle. The film won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. 

London spent five years as a production executive at FOX, which he departed as Executive Vice President of Production. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, he started his career as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times.
