Abby Elliott is best known for her four seasons as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. She was the first second-generation cast member on SNL, following in the footsteps of her father, actor and comedian, Chris Elliott. Elliott co-starred in Bravo’s first scripted half-hour comedy, Odd Mom Out, and also appeared on television in Alone Together, How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings, Garfunkel and Oates, Inside Amy Schumer, King of the Hill, 2 Broke Girls, Difficult People and Search Party. Her film credits include Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Megan Fox and Will Arnett, the indie film Life Partners alongside Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs, High Road opposite Lizzy Caplan and Andy Daly, Sex Ed alongside Haley Joel Osment and Matt Walsh, Better Off Single with Kal Penn and No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Before SNL, Elliott worked and trained with other SNL alumni at the Groundlings Theater and the Upright Citizens Brigade. She appeared in Clara’s Ghost, which premiered at Sundance, and opposite Adam Pally and Fran Drescher in the NBC series Indebted. Elliott can also be seen in Disney+’s remake of Cheaper by the Dozen.
