The Bridge

Meredith Stiehm is a writer and executive producer of Homeland (Showtime), which won the Emmy®, Golden Globe®, WGA and Peabody Award for best drama series. She was the creator and executive producer of the drama series Cold Case, which ran for seven years on CBS. Other writing credits include: NYPD Blue (Emmy nomination, dramatic writing) and ER (two Emmy nominations, best drama series). She has written pilots for HBO, Showtime, and BBC America. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in with a B.A. in English/Playwriting.

Demian Bichir stars as "Marco Ruiz," a detective for the Chihuahua state police who answers to no man, but knows how to play the game with the cartel and its political pawns. He knows Juarez is a dangerous place, but stayed committed to it. He and Sonya Cross work to solve a case that turns out to be more complex than expected.

Diane Kruger stars as "Detective Sonya Cross," a strong-willed homicide detective for the El Paso police department with an off-putting style of communication. She calls it as she sees it. Her colleagues find her odd, but they cannot deny that she is extremely effective at her job. The murder of a Mexican cartel member in El Paso brings her and Marco Ruiz back together.

Emily Rios stars as "Adriana Mendez," a Mexican, Juarez-born lesbian living in El Paso. She is a smart and diligent reporter for the El Paso Times. She works with Daniel Frye to unravel the mystery of the Quintana money house while dealing with her sister who went missing in Juarez.
