Andrew&nbsp;Fried&nbsp;is the founder and CEO of Boardwalk Pictures, an award-winning production company recognized for its innovative, premium nonfiction storytelling. Since establishing the company in 2010, Fried has built Boardwalk into a global leader in unscripted entertainment, producing critically acclaimed and culturally impactful content for major platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video and others.A visionary creative executive and Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producer, Fried has been at the helm of numerous groundbreaking documentary series and films. His extensive producing credits include&nbsp;“Chef’s Table,”&nbsp;“Cheer,”&nbsp;“America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders,”&nbsp;“aka Charlie Sheen,”&nbsp;“Fit For TV,”&nbsp;“Paul American,”&nbsp;“Welcome to Wrexham,”&nbsp;“We Need to Talk About Cosby,”&nbsp;“Last Chance U,”&nbsp;“Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?” and&nbsp;“Val,” among many others.&nbsp;In addition to his work as a producer, Fried is an accomplished director. He directed the feature documentary&nbsp;“We Are Freestyle Love Supreme,” which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and went on to receive a Grammy nomination for best music film.&nbsp;

In 2021, FX placed an order for Welcome to Wrexham, a docuseries about Mac and his business partner Ryan Reynolds taking ownership of a historic yet struggling Football Club. In 2020, Mac and Reynolds teamed up, before ever meeting in person, to take over chairman duties of the Club in hopes to turn the organization into an underdog story the entire world could root for.
