Career Highlights

Prolific goalscorer Rosie Hughes was a key signing for Wrexham AFC Women when they entered the newly restructured 2nd tier of Welsh women's football for the first time in 2021. The striker made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in the women's team's first ever game at the Racecourse Ground against Northop Hall Ladies in August 2021.Hughes arrived with a reputation for scoring plenty of goals, having previously represented Llandudno in the Welsh Women's Premier League and Denbigh Town. In her first season at Wrexham, she scored an incredible 48 goals in 21 games and was named Wrexham AFC Women's Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer, as well as claiming the same honors in the league's end-of-season awards.At the end of the 2022/23 season, Hughes had taken her goalscoring tally to 90 goals in 39 games for the Wrexham AFC Women and once again claimed the double of being named both the team's and the league's Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer.With Wrexham AFC Women turning semi-professional for the 2023/24 season, Hughes was among the players handed a contract; she passed the 100-goal milestone for the Club in October 2023 and at the end of the season was named the Club's Player of the Season for a record third consecutive time.
