Katherine Pope has been President of Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) since August 2022.

Pope oversees the studio's scripted production business, which currently produces 30 series for all platforms. Under Pope's leadership, SPTS has created many critically acclaimed hits, including the fourth season of the global phenomenon The Boys, which is Prime Video's fifth most-viewed TV season of all time and is renewed for season five; HBO's The Last of Us, whose first season garnered 24 Emmy® nominations and is returning with its second season in 2025; Apple TV+'s Dark Matter, which premiered number one in 75 countries, including the U.S., in its premiere week and was renewed for season two; The Night Agent, Netflix's number one original in 2023 hitting number one in 79 countries, which returned for season two in January 2025; Twisted Metal, which was the most binged comedy series on Peacock in 2023; Gen V, which comes from the world of The Boys, was one of Prime Video's top new original series of 2023 and renewed for season two; Cobra Kai, the number one streaming original in the U.S. for the first 28 days of its season six release on Netflix; and new series Universal Basic Guys on FOX.

Pope previously executive produced the Emmy-nominated Hulu limited series The Dropout with Elizabeth Meriweather. Pope also executive produced New Girl, which she developed while at Peter Chernin's Chernin Entertainment after launching their TV division.

Prior to joining SPTS, Pope was Head of Original Content at Charter Communications, where she created and launched the Spectrum Originals platform. There, she played a crucial role in curating their slate of premium series, including Beacon 23, Panhandle, George & Tammy, L.A.’s Finest, Mad About You and Joe Pickett.

Earlier in her career, Pope spent 10 years at NBCUniversal Television Studios, where she held several leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of the Network and President of the Studio. During her time, Pope developed hit shows like Heroes, Friday Night Lights, 30 Rock and The Office. Before NBCUniversal, she produced documentaries and specials at CBS and ABC News.
