Laurie Ogden

Biddy

"Biddy," portrayed by Laurie Ogden, is a kind, wise, intelligent and caring young woman who Pip turns to in his first attempts to educate and improve himself. Of similar age and background to Pip, Biddy comes from humble beginnings; but unlike Pip, she is content with her born station in life, and disapproves as Pip allows his association with Miss Havisham and his great expectations to change him.

Career Highlights

Laurie Ogden is a graduate of National Youth Theatre Rep Company (NYT REP). 

Ogden can currently be seen in the UK Tour of National Theatre’s hugely successful production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane, for which she plays the role of “Sis.” 

Her theatre credits include Different Owners at Sunrise (Roundhouse), Bible John (Pleasance, Edinburgh Fringe) and Napoli, Brooklyn (Park Theatre, touring company). 

For NYT REP her credits include To Kill a Mockingbird (Lyric Hammersmith), Victoria’s Knickers (Soho Theatre), Consensual (Soho Theatre) and Macbeth (Garrick Theatre). 

Ogden is also a talented writer and poet.
