Tanase Popa is a Peabody, Television Academy Honors and AFI Award recipient, as well as a nine-time Emmy®-nominated and five-time Golden Globe®-nominated television producer at Ryan Murphy Productions. He is a co-founder of Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative and served as the Program Director in its inaugural years by developing its Directing Mentorship Program, Guild Trainee Program, Production Assistant Intensive Program and Internship Program. Popa has also worked at Pixar Animation Studios on the Academy Award® and Golden Globe-winning animated film Coco. He also served as a Company Manager to Broadway shows and national tours of Wicked, Next to Normal, Sweeney Todd, Company and Gypsy.
