Paul Young is a founding partner of Principato-Young Entertainment (PYE), one of the most influential management- production companies in Hollywood. Established in 2000, PYE represents actors like Ed Helm, Anthony Anderson, John Travolta, Queen Latifah, John Malkovich, Viggo Mortenson, Shailene Woodley, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. PYE also reps the writers and directors of films like Thor, X-Men: First Class, Role Models, Never Say Never, GI Joe 2, Now You See Me and The Last Exorcism.
As a producer and manager, Young has been responsible for cultural touchstones ranging from Key and Peele and Black-ish to Reno 911! And Night at the Museum. Young began his career in 1994 as a reporter for Variety, after graduating from Swarthmore College with honors. He then served as Director of Creative Affairs for Paramount Pictures. In 2003 Young was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s list of the 35 Most Powerful People Under 35. While building PYE, Young also served as Chairman of the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, which spawned stars like Will Ferrell, Kristin Wiig, and Melissa McCarthy.
