Michael Hyatt plays “Cissy Saint,” Franklin's mother. Pragmatic and hard working, Cissy primarily raised Franklin on her own. Her love for her son has been unwavering, even as his choices have continued to conflict with her own. Last season saw Cissy pit between Franklin and his father. This season will test the bounds of her love as she searches for answers and possibly revenge.

There have been times when he and Louie have needed their space, but season five finds this couple remembering what they love most about each other. Angela Lewis plays Franklin's “Aunt Louie,” who has long been Franklin’s right hand and even had to take over running the business while he was recovering. Louie has a strong business mind of her own and when Franklin expects her and Jerome to expand their partnership with him into new territories, she will need to calculate her loyalty to Franklin against her desire to build something of her own.

This season she returns with a renewed focus knowing who she is and what she wants, and is willing to fight to protect it.

Isaiah John plays “Leon Simmons.” Franklin’s life-long friend, he’s been there through it all. Last season saw Leon trying to step out on his own until a tragic shooting altered his path. Franklin was there when Leon needed him and in return Leon has continued to be the good soldier, but in season five Leon's evolution outgrows his loyalty to Franklin, as he must choose how to walk his own path.

Life-long friends with both Kevin and Franklin, Leon has now become Franklin’s trusted lieutenant in a volatile and dangerous business.

Alon Moni Aboutboul plays “Avi Drexler,” an Israeli expatriate living the Los Angeles dream with a long trail of transgressions. Though he was Franklin’s original connect into the cocaine business, his recent value has come from his ability to source illegal guns. This season he’ll continue to help the CIA by arming the contras in addition to helping supply weapons to Franklin’s crew in South Central.

Devyn Tyler joins the cast of Snowfall this season playing “Veronique,” a lawyer helping to expand Franklin’s real estate investments. Smart and ambitious, her drive doesn’t define her even as she works to escape her own checkered past. She has the ability to really see Franklin, and see through him when necessary, which will be important this season as this young couple works to navigate through decisions that have the power to define their future.
