Scott Manson is the Chief Operating Officer of SB Projects and President of Business Solutions for HYBE America. He leads SB Project’s corporate and business development, strategy, content and consumer businesses, including identifying and structuring partnerships for SB Projects as well as their elite roster of clients including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, The Kid LAROI, Dan + Shay, Tori Kelly, Idina Menzel and Dave Burd to name a few.
Manson helped create the highly rated CBS drama Scorpion, leading the charge on SB Projects’ ongoing expansion into television and film. Manson continues to be instrumental to the growth of SB Projects’ slate, most recently serving as executive producer on projects such as FX’s critically-acclaimed comedy series DAVE, Justin Bieber: Seasons, whose premiere episode is YouTube’s most watched debut episode ever and the follow-up documentary Justin Bieber: The Next Chapter as well as Netflix’s Ariana Grande tour documentary Excuse Me, I Love You, which was the platform’s second most watched movie upon release. The company is also responsible for YouTube’s critically acclaimed four-part docuseries Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil and Amazon Studios' The Boy From Medellin with Academy Award®-nominated Matthew Heineman. In audio content, the company recently premiered the “In Good Faith with Chelsea & Judah Smith” podcast with Cadence13 and “Country Shine with Graham Bunn.”
Recently, SB Projects announced the pick-up of the scripted comedy Neon at Netflix for an eight-episode first season. Additionally, Manson was instrumental in finalizing SB Projects’ multi-year, first-look television deal with Amazon Studios, further expanding the reach of their visual and audio media department where there are many projects in active development including Neon Machine from creator Jason Kim, the film Tuna Melt from Eddie Huang starring SZA and Chloe Cherry, Phantom written by Academy Award-nominated Anthony McCarten (Bohemian Rhapsody), an untitled Lady Macbeth musical with Channing Tatum's Free Association for Amazon Studios and an untitled K-Pop film for 20th Century Studios along with a variety of others.
Manson leads all new business units of HYBE America where he’s currently responsible for running all content and consumer businesses across the HYBE Corp. ecosystem in all territories outside Asia and all related strategy and growth initiatives. He also works closely with senior leadership in driving M&A strategy for HYBE Corp. Prior to joining SB Projects in 2012, Manson served as an attorney in the business trial and litigation group at O’Melveny & Myers LLP where he worked on the firm’s most complex commercial cases for their Fortune 500 clients.
Manson resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
