Brian Jordan Alvarez stars as “Evan Marquez,” an English teacher at Morrison-Hensley High School who regularly winds up in the middle of schoolwide conflicts. Alvarez's individual performance also earned him Critics Choice and Independent Spirit Award nominations.Alvarez was recently seen in Universal Pictures' global horror phenomenon M3GAN, written by Akela Cooper, directed by Gerard Johnstone and produced by Jason Blum. Alvarez also returned for the film's sequel, M3GAN 2.0, which released theatrically in June 2025.His multidisciplinary work earned him the coveted honor of being named one of The New York Times' "Breakout Stars of 2023."
