Born in Rome, Francesco Acquaroli started his acting career in Italy’s top theater companies. In 2011, Acquaroli moved to the silver screen, starring in films such as Daniele Vicari’s Diaz – Don’t Clean Up This Blood and Sole cuore amore, Nanni Moretti’s Mia Madre, Matteo Garrone’s Dogman, Costa-Gavras’ Adults in the Room and Gabriele Muccino’s Gli anni più belli. Acquaroli is one of the leads in the Netflix series Suburra.
