"Blanca Evangelista," played by Mj Rodriguez, is the former “Mother of the Year” and founder of the House of Evangelista, and faces new challenges as a hospice aide for the AIDS ward. Helping patients near the end of their lives forces Blanca to reevaluate her own life, striking a balance between motherhood, her career and a new love.

Dominique Jackson portrays "Elektra Abundance Evangelista," Blanca’s shrewd former house mother and ballroom icon. Indya Moore plays "Angel Evangelista," a Puerto Rican streetwalker. The trailblazing model may have left the piers behind but she still wrestles with inner demons and survivor’s guilt as she builds a life and legacy with her fiancée and manager, Papi.

"Lulu Ferocity," portrayed by Hailie Sahar, is the former mother of the House of Ferocity who finds solace and sisterhood with Angel in Candy’s absence. Despite her even-tempered demeanor, Lulu is burdened with grief that pushes her toward unhealthy habits and romantic relationships.

"Lil Papi Evangelista" is portrayed by Angel Bismark Curiel. Having left the drug trade behind, Blanca’s loyal son and Angel’s ride-or-die continues to hustle as a model manager for the Ford Agency. As his fiancée wrestles with her inner demons, a friend from the past throws a wrench in his happily ever after.
