Career Highlights

David Hornsby is an executive producer and writer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where he recurs in the role of “Rickety Cricket.” He’s been with the show since the second season. Hornsby is also an executive producer, writer, director and series regular on Apple TV+ critically acclaimed comedy Mythic Quest. He has also created and starred in his own shows including CBS’ half-hour How To Be a Gentleman, FX’s animated series Unsupervised and NBC’s Mission Control. He’s written on Netflix’s Big Mouth and recurred on Universal/Netflix’s Good Girls.

Hornsby co-wrote the film Layover starring Kate Upton and directed by William H. Macy. He starred opposite Paul Giamatti and Billy Crudup in Pretty Bird, and can be seen in Clint Eastwood's Flags Of Our Fathers, Steven Spielberg's Minority Report and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. He’s appeared in numerous television shows including FOX’s New Girl, HBO’s Hello Ladies and Six Feet Under, FX’s Baskets and Spike TV's faux reality series The Joe Schmo Show. Hornsby voiced several animated series including Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 and Nickelodeon’s Welcome to the Wayne.

Hornsby was born in Virginia, grew up in Houston and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.
